On a previous post you might have noticed a weird looking folding sketchbook. One might think about an accordion but hold on, for once don’t blame it on the French since it has nothing specially sexual about it. Apparently educated people call it a Japanese sketchbook, because its shape evoke a crane taking off in the mists of mount Fuji. Or it a very primitive and dumb form of Origami if I had to speculate anymore about it. Any other interesting suggestion is welcome but please, don’t tell me it has anything to do with japaneses screens, that would be way too boring.
Anyway, scanning this thing was a genuine Chinese torture and explains why it took me so long to post on this blog (that and other reasons I have to admit), hence you better enjoy it.
All the drawings have been done on location but from memory (after all I was in Hawaii for recreational purposes).

PS : the very last image is a collage of the previous ones, loading it might make the Internet melt.
